The lawmaker representing Akure North/Akure South federal constituency, Hon Adedayo Omolafe has donated some bags of rice to Positive Fm Akure as Covid-19 palliative.
Mr Omolafe who is also known as expensive said the donation was in recognition of the essential roles played by the radio station especially at this crucial period.
Represented by his legislative aide, Mr Kehinde Omoniyi, the federal lawmaker commended Positive fm for being in the frontline of the fight against COVID-19 through dissemination of accurate information on the pandemic so that people could know how to effectively prevent it.
“We are giving this palliative items to your station to cushion the effect of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic that is ravaging the country, we have been to many places, palaces, Akure north, Akure south, radio stations and it is now the turn of your station, a very vibrant station”
Mr Omolafe urged Positive fm to continue to provide platform for all shades of opinion in the society.
The General Manager, Mr Tunde Abiodun while receiving the items at the broadcasting house said Radio Nigeria had provided a vibrant platform for all politicians and political parties to propagate their development plans for the people.
He noted that Positive fm had always been supportive of the nation’s electoral process through unbiased coverage and reportage of political activities, promising that the coming governorship election in Ondo state would not be different.
“This is Radio Nigeria station, when we say Radio Nigeria, it is for everybody, no matter the political party or the religion, no matter your age, whether you are old or young, if you have been listening to our station, you will realise that we are for everybody”
Mr Abiodun thanked the lawmaker, Hon Adedayo Omolafe for donating the palliative items to the station.
