Nigeria has recorded its highest daily infection from the Coronavirus Disease with five hundred and fifty three cases in fifteen states.
Before yesterday, the highest daily figure was three hundred and eighty nine as announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its Twitter handle.
Lagos State also recorded its highest figure of the COVID-19 cases with three hundred and seventy eight testing positive.
FCT followed with fifty two cases, Delta twenty three, Edo twenty two, Rivers fourteen, thirteen in Ogun while Kaduna is having twelve.
Also on the list are Kano which recorded nine cases, Borno seven, six in Katsina, Jigawa and Oyo recorded five new infections each, three each inYobe and plateau while osun recorded only one.
The latest figure brings to nine thousand, eight hundred and fifty five, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria, with two hundred and seventy three deaths.
Two thousand, eight hundred and fifty six cases have been successfully treated and discharged.
