Churches in ondo state have resumed religious activities following the lifting of ban placed on worship centres two months ago as part of efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state.
In all the churches visited, Worshippers were seen wearing facemasks and washing their hands before being allowed into the premises. They also complied with the physical distancing order.
It was a moment of praises and thanksgivings for members of the Gospel Faith Mission International , GOFAMINT, Oyemekun as they reunited for religious activities first time in the last two months.
Some of them who spoke with our reporters said they were happy to be back in church .
Pastor Tayo Ojo in a sermon taken from Psalm 124 emphasized on the need for christians to make their path right with God for continued mercies urging the congregation to continue to abide by other COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The story was the same at the Celestial church of Christ, Inioluwa parish Oda town as members adhered to the Covid-19 protocols strictly.
The cleric, senior evangelist omosehin obebe told the congregation to always obey government directives.
Also at christ chapel international pastor Andy Eloh Charged medical experts find an end to the pandemic.
The congregants of the Redemeed Christians Church of God RCCG, Strong Tower parish ,Ajipowo ,Akure worshiped in full excitement as they reunited after two months of break owing to the ravaging COVID-19.
The Pastor in charge, Frederick Orunkoya described the two months break as a trial of faith for christians hence the need to be more closer to God for safety and continue to observe the laid down rules to combat covid-19.
Christains in Akoko area of Ondo state were not left out of the return to religious activities and they trooped to churches in gorgeous dresses, observing the COVID-19 protocols.
Worship centres visited included CAC Alasepe jubilee Ikare, All saints Anglican church, Ilepa Ikare, Celestial church of christ calvary parish Olokun Agbaluku Arigidi and CAC Cannan land Alapata Ilepa Ikare Akoko.
All the churches provided water, soap and hand sanitizer at the entrance of their churches with ushers ensuring that people complied with the orders before going into the church.
Members without face masks were however not allowed into the church premised as directed by the state government .
Churches in Ore town also observed the sunday service after two months of ban on religious activities in Ondo state.
Prophet Idera Ademoyewa of Divine Healing Mountain Ago-Gbooro Ore gave this advice in Ore called on Nigerisns to be more prayerful at this period.
