The people of Ola-Oluwa area of Idasen in Owo Local Government Area in Ondo State have appealed to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-SAN, to come to their aid in the rehabilitation of the street road which for many years has suffered neglect.

Various ongoing and completed road projects in the ancient community of Owo by the state government in recent times, prompted their cry for help on the deplorable condition of the road.

A landlord on the street, Mr Ajayi Awogbayila informed that, the road which was last attended to five years ago was however abandoned by the former Governor Olusegun Mimiko’s administration.

Awogbayila disclosed that, residents with vehicles find the road impassable as many of them now park somewhere and trek to their homes as they could not continue visiting mechanic workshops for faults occasioned by the bad road.

Another Resident, Alhaja Mariam Adekunle described their experience on the road as devastating saying it has negatively impacted socio-economic lives of the people of the community.

Alhaja Adekunle also appealed to Governor Akeredolu to urgently accede to their demands to ease the pain inflicted by the bad road.
