The Federal University of Technology, Akure FUTA, has donated two thousand facemasks to Ondo state government as part of efforts to combat the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic in the state.

This is coming as Ondo state recorded three new cases of COVID-19 pandemic

With the fresh cases, Ondo state now has thirty-six (36) cases of COVID-19, out of which there are ten active cases, nineteen treated and discharged with four deaths

Presenting the facemasks, the Director, FUTA Technology Park and Incubation Centre, Professor Sunday Oluyamo, said  the donation was to compliment government’s efforts in fighting the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Professor Oluyamo revealed that the facemasks were produced by the University Centre for Entrepreneurship

Receiving the facemasks, Chief of staff to the governor, chief Olugbenga Ale appreciated FUTA management noting that the gesture would go a long way in curbing the spread of the deadly virus ravaging the entire world.
