Three thousand, nine hundred and ninety five patients of coronavirus have recovered from the disease and discharged from isolation centres across the country.
This is just as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, announced the confirmation of two hundred and sixty new cases in nineteen states in the last twenty four hours.
This now brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to twelve thousand, four hundred and eighty six with eight thousand one hundred and seventy three active cases while the number of death is three hundred and fifty four.
In the breakdown of new infections, Lagos recorded a massive drop with thirty eight as Abia topped the table with sixty seven cases followed by the FCT which had forty, Ogun nineteen, Gombe sixteen and Edo fourteen.
Others on the list are, Imo with nine new cases, eight each in Kwara, Katsina, Borno and Nassarawa as well as six in Kaduna.
Bauchi has four fresh infections, Ekiti four while Niger, Plateau, Sokoto and Kano have two each.
Ondo state also recorded two new infections bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to forty three.
This came after the tracking and arrest of a COVID-19 positive woman at the popular Erekesan market in Akure.
With the two new infections, Ondo state now has sixteen active cases, twenty one discharges and six deaths.
