Ondo state born renowned medical practitioner and academic, Emeritus Professor, Oladipo Akinkugbe is dead.
According to reports, Akinkugbe died in Ibadan on Monday.
He was 87.
The Professor of Medicine Emeritus was born on July 19, 1933 in Ondo State.
He practised and taught medicine in various reputable universities across the world.
He was the pioneer Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin and also pioneer Vice Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Late Professor Akinkugbe was instrumental to the opening of the famous hypertension and renal clinics at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
