CORONAVIRUS/UPDATE.
Nigeria has finally hit the twenty thousand mark in cases of coronavirus in the country.
This came exactly twenty days after the country Hit the ten thousand mark.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease control, NCDC in its daily covid 19 update announced a total of twenty thousand two hundred and forty four confirmed cases in the country.
The NCDC also announced four hundred and thirty six fresh coronavirus cases in the last twenty four hours with Lagos having the highest number of one hundred and sixty nine followed by Oyo which recorded fifty two cases, plateau thirty one and Imo twenty nine.
Other states with new infections are Kaduna-28, Ogun-23, FCT-18, Enugu-18
Bauchi-17, Bayelsa-14, Rivers-8, Osun-6
Kano-6, Edo-5, Benue-5
Adamawa-3, Borno-2, Abia-1, Ekiti-1.
Even as the number of confirmed cases rise, that of discharges too keep rising bringing the total number to six thousand, eight hundred and seventy nine.
The number of death is five hundred and eighteen.
