Covid-19: Ondo Records 44 Cases In Single Day As Infection Hits 22,614 In Nigeria

Ondo state yesterday recorded its highest single day cases of COVID-19 with forty four new infections

Before now, the highest Ondo has ever recorded in one day was twenty three.

The forty four new cases in Ondo are part of the five hundred and ninety four new cases recorded across the country in the last twenty four hours as confirmed by the Nigeria centre for disease control, NCDC in its daily update on COVID-19.

In the breakdown, Lagos has one hundred and fifty nine new infections, Delta, one hundred and six, thirty four in FCT and Edo, Thirty three in Oyo and Kaduna, while Ogun recorded twelve.

The total figure of coronavirus cases in Nigeria has now risen to twenty two thousand, six hundred and fourteen.

Recoveries have also hit seven thousand eight hundred and twenty two while death toll is now five hundred and forty nine.
