The Oyo state police command has arrested twenty three suspected criminals for various offences ranging from kidnaping, robbery to murder.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr Nwachuku Enwonwu while parading the Suspects in Ibadan said they would soon be charged to court.
Mr Enwowu allayed the fear of residents of Ibadan over the incessant killings of innocent people of Akinyele local government area of the state nothing that the command was ready to wage war against crime and criminalities in the state.
The police boss said this,he would achieve with massive deployment of officers and men to every nook and cranny of the state so that people could sleep with their eyes closed.
One of the suspects, who was arrested for murder, Erigga Shagbada said he killed his girlfriend when she denied him of sexual intercourse.
Erigga, also confessed to have dumped her body in a well to cover up the evil act.
The exhibit retrieved from the suspects included, twenty three motorcycles, two vehicles, several cash, locally made guns, some live cartridges and charms.
