The Remains of the Ondo State commissioner for health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro have been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

Late Adegbenro was buried in his hometown, ilara Mokin in ifedore local government area of the state.

The burial rites were performed by a team of muslim Clerics led the Chief Iman of Akure, Alhaji AbdulAkeem Yayi Akorede.

In his words of Admonition, Alhaji Akorede described the late Adegbenro as a selfless, kindhearted and hardworking man.

While saying the deceased was a hero having died in the process of healing others, the cleric charged people to always leave good memories with whoever they come in contact with.

The burial was witnessed by top government functionaries, civil servants and other residents of ilara mokin who wept uncontrollably.

All measures put in place to ensure social distancing protocol were ignored as families and friends clustered around the grave amid tears and wails to have a glimpse of the body of late Dr Wahab adegbenro as it was being lowered into the grave by health officials who were clad in personal protective equipment.

Aged sixty five, Dr Adegbenro passed on yesterday from complications of covid19.
