The Nigerian Army says it is committed to making the welfare of its personnel a priority.

The chief of Army staff, Lt General Tukur Buratai stated this while commissioning some projects and laying foundation of poultry farm at the thirty-two artillery brigade, Akure in Ondo State

Lt General Buratai who was represented by the General Officer Commanding, Two Div, Ibadan, Oyo State, Major General Anthony Omozoje said the military decided to take the steps to enhance operations and welfare of personnel.

Lt General Buratai, maintained that Nigerian Army would remain focused in protecting national territory at all times

Also speaking, the commander, 32 artillery brigade, brigadier general Zakare Abubakar was optimistic that the projects would enhance daily operations of soldiers in the brigade

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who was represented by his special adviser on works and infrastructure, Alh Raimi Aminu appreciated the artillery’s contributions towards the state’s security and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the opportunity

The projects commissioned included headquarters brigade complex, guard house, Medical centre and the newly renovated Army quarters.
