The junior workers of rubber estate Nigeria Limited, araromi Obu branch have expressed grievances over work conditions as the workers industrial strike enters the fourth week.
Positive Fm had a chat with the union leader and some of the workers of the Company.

The plights of labour force across the country particularly the junior workers have always been a source of serious concern which incidentally had for years become the lot of junior staff of rubber estate Nigeria Limited, araromi Obu branch.
Outlining the workers helpless conditions, acting workers union chairman, rubber estate Nigeria Limited, araromi obu branch, Mr olanusi jegunyomi submitted that the company’s management had not been considerate about the demands of the junior staff which include two hundred thousand naira basic salary, appreciable terminal benefits, immediate pension payment among others.
Mr Jegunyomi alleged that the personnel manager , Mr Dayo Ikusika had been preventing the managing director , Mr Philip Cathy from getting to know the true State of things with the junior workers saying there could only be amicable resolution of the crisis if the workers were called to a round table discussion with the company’s authorities.
Speaking with Positive Fm, two of the junior staff, mr Oladimeji Olagunjoye and Taiwo Razak called for interventions to prevail on the management staff to do the needful about the worker’s demands for improved welfare package and stop unnecessary victimization of the staff.
Attempts to get the management side of the story was not successful as those contacted declined comments.
