The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, Ondo State Chapter is seeking the intervention of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for the release of appointment letters into the civil service promised its members by the governor .

The governor at a media appearance marking the Administration’s 3rd anniversary had promised to absorb 30 persons with disabilities into the state civil service .

The group’s general Secretary , Comrade Abiodun Olusegun however noted In a statement that this was yet to be implemented as all efforts to get the appointment letters for the beneficiaries were met with brick wall.

He appealed to the governor to personally wade into the situation with a view to bringing succour to beneficiaries who had waited endlessly for the fulfillment of the governor’s pledge.

Comrade Olusegun also appreciated the administration’s concerns for the group which included appointment of one of them as Special Assistant , constitution of the board of agency for the welfare of persons with disabilities with another member as chairman and regular payments of annual subventions to the group.
