The Director-General of Progressives Governors’ Forum PGF, Mallam Salihu Lukman has appealed to the Party in Edo state to make its governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu the face of its campaign rather than the former governor of the state, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole.
In a statement, Mallam Salihu said relegating the standard bearer of the party to an onlooker in the campaign will limit his opportunity to tell the electorate about his blueprint.
The statement reminds the party chieftains that the APC is just coming out of a major crisis, and should ensure that the campaign is not recklessly handled.
It adds that there is the need to learn from past experiences where the APC lost elections that would have been been won, stressing that Edo state is strategic for the party.
