Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has commiserated with the Ogun state government and family of the former senator representing Ogun East at the 8th Senate, Buruji Kashamu over his death.
Kashamu died yesterday at the first cardiology Hospital after suffering COVID-19 complications.
He was aged 62.
Chief Obasanjo in a condolence letter to Governor Dapo Abiodun described Late Kashamu as a significant Ogun indigene who used the maneuver of politics to escape from facing alleged criminal offences in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.

Meanwhile the late Senator Buruji Kashamu will be buried today, Sunday, August 9 in his hometown, Ijebu Igbo.
His spokesman, Austin Oniyokor said kashamu would be buried according to Islamic rites.
