President Muhammad Buhari is currently meeting with members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum Security Committee at the presidential Villa, Abuja.
While Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the National Security Adviser, the Chief of Staff, Service Chiefs and heads of other security agencies are attending the meeting physically, others are joining virtually.
The governors that have joined virtually are the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum Security Committee and Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, and those of Bayelsa, Borno, Ebonyi, and Lagos.
Also in attendance are the Director General, National Intelligence Agency, Chief of Defence Military Intelligence, the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi, and the Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi.
The meeting comes a day after Governors from the northeast sub-region met with President Buhari over security and socio-economic matters.
