The National Orientation Agency , NOA has advocated strict enforcement of the Covid-19 health protocols to flatten the curve of the pandemic.
The deputy director Of NOA in Ondo state , Mrs Wumi Famuyiwa who stated this while featuring on one of the Positive FM’s Flagship programmes, GUEST OF THE WEEK maintained that this was necessary as many Nigerians had relaxed their observance of the rules.
Mrs Famuyiwa who expressed dissatisfaction at the low level of compliance with guidelines to contain the spread of the Virus urged government to enforce stiffer penalty against erring people.
She said “One thing I have discovered is that the bane of our problem in Nigeria bothers on our attitude, our attitude towards issues and matters. Yes, people are aware but Nigerians treat issues with levity, there is a low level of compliance with the protocols among our people, May be with a little bit of enforcement, our people would fall in line”

Mrs Famuyiwa also condemned the belief that the Covid-19 Pandemic was not real noting that the agency had embarked on aggressive sensitization and campaign to correct this.
“Life is sacred, we need not lose life, we need not lose anyone to this COVID-19 if we take our health with utmost care. The pandemic is not a hoax, is not a ruse and is not a political gimmick, covid-19 is real. The society needs to take responsibility over their lives to be safe” the NOA boss submitted
Mrs Famuyiwa promised that NOA would continue to sensitize Nigerians on the need to live up to their responsibilities and civic obligations as citizens of this great Nation.
