In view of the ongoing violence in Idanre Local Government Area ahead of the local government election scheduled for Saturday, the entire SDP in idanre local government have decided to withdraw our participation from the entire process.
This withdrawal is necessitated by the need to put a stop to the ongoing violence targeted at all SDP members in Idanre. The bloodshed in Idanre has to stop and if our withdrawal is the needed to sacrifice or to put a stop to the violence, so be it.
The 1983 incidence must be avoided completely.
In the interest of restoration of peace to Idanre and to prevent further bloodshed in our dear town, we have completely withdrawn from the entire process of the Local Government election in Idanre and Ondo State at large. However, any member of SDP in the State that may still wish to continue with the election is free to do so; but it should be noted that our withdrawal from the process is irreversibly final.
The lives and properties of my our dear local government are worth more than any victory.
God bless SDP
God bless Idanre
God bless the Sunshine State.
