Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has announced minor cabinet reshuffle as part of plan to inject fresh ideas to governance.

Governor Fayemi announced the shake up today at the swearing in of the seven new commissioners, special advisers and two board members.

Two of the former commissioners, Dr Mojisola Yaha- Kolade of the ministry of health and Mr Gbenga Agbeyo were dropped while five of them were reappointed as special advisers.

They are Mr Foluso Daramola, Mr Folorunso Olabode, Mrs Mojisola Fafure, Mr Ayoola Owolabi.

Also former commissioner for information and Value Orientation, Mr Muyiwa OLUMILUA was moved to the ministry of Trade and investment while the commissioner for finance, Mr Ayoola Owolabi was appointed as special adviser and Mr Akintunde Oyebode became the commissioner for finance and Economic Development.

Other new commissioners and their portfolios are, Mr Akin Omole -information and values orienttation, DR.Oyebanji Filani – Health and Human Services, Princess Iyabo Fakunle Okieme-Environment and natural resources.

The rest are Chief Oladiran Adesua -Housing and Urban Development, Alhaja Maryam Ogunlade-Women Affairs and Prince Olabode Adetoyi -Agric and rural development, as well as Dr. Adebimpe Aderiye-Education Science and Technology.

At the ceremony In Ado Ekiti, Governor Fayemi charged the new appointees to live above board.

He explained that the shake up was carried out as a result of mid term assessment of his cabinet members with a view to strengthening governance in the state.

Speaking on behalf of others, the commissioner for Agriculture, Mr olabode Adetoyi promised that they would not disappoint the people.
