A 59 year old Man, Isaac Ampah, who hails from Mankesim in Ghana, and lives at 13 JMJ quarters, Olodi Apapa, has been allegedly stabbed to death by one Sediq Yusuf.
Getting to the scene of the incident, Wife of the deceased, Mrs. Joy Ampah, who confirmed the incident, said on that fateful day she heard a knock on the door and on answering the door she saw that it was Sediq Yusuf, who ordered her daughter to produce his phone for him, claiming that she was the last person to use the bathroom where he left the mobile phone.
According to Mrs Ampah, Sediq Yusuf insistent claim that his phone was taken by her daughter, drew the attention of her husband, whom Sadiq also threatened and later stabbed to death with broken bottle.
Mrs Ampah revealed that she had to run for her dear life, seeing that Sediq was out to kill the whole of her family.
Some of the neighbors who condemned the violent act, also called on the Police to ensure that Sediq Yusuf faced the full wrath of the law, to serve as deterrent to others, however, blamed Sediq’s mother for always covering up for her son’s crimes.
Radio Nigeria contacted the Consul General of the Ghana High Commission to Nigeria, Mr. James Nyasembi to get his reaction on the unfoertunate death.
Mr. Nyasembi said the consulate was looking into the matter.
Meanwhile, all efforts to get in touch with the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bala Elkana, proved abortive.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary, and the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for further investigation.
