Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has called on traditional rulers in Ondo state to support the course that the southwest should produce the next Nigerian President come 2023.

The Governor gave this indication at the international cultural and event centre, the Dome in Akure during an interactive session with traditional rulers and opinion leaders in Ondo State.

According to Governor Akeredolu, there are underground efforts going on to ensure that bridges are built across various ethnic groups in Nigeria to pave the way for the emergence of an Oduduwa descendant to mount the Presidency in 2023.

He charged the traditional rulers to help mobilize their people towards achieving the goal.

Earlier, the Chairman of Ondo State council of Obas and Olugbo of Igbo , Oba Frederick Akinruntan listed various achievements of the present administration with an appeal that the government be given a second term to finish up its laudable programs.

Also speaking on the occasion , APC National Leader , Senator Bola Tinubu who gave an assurance that APC would win Ondo governorship election prayed that the riotous scenario of 1983 would not repeat itself and called on all Oduduwa sons and daughters to unite.
