Ondo state deputy governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi will not resign from the All Progressives Congress, APC led government even as he pursues his governorship ambition in the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP

Media Adviser to the Governorship Candidate of the ZLP, Mr Allen Sowore reiterated this on Political Podium, a Positive fm programme.

Mr Sowore Said since there was freedom of association in Nigeria, the deputy governor had the right to contest election on the platform of any political party while still serving as the deputy governor under another party entirely.

He however said Mr Agboola could be arrested, implicated or humiliated if he resigned, being the usual practice in the Nation’s political sphere whenever the relationship between Governors and their deputies go sour.

Mr Sowore said the people of Ondo state had become receptive to the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP more than ever before as the Oct 10 governorship election approaches, going by the number of politicians who defected to the party on a daily basis..
