Ahead of october 10 election, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, on Saturday officially kicked off the journey to reclaim the governorship seat of Ondo state by flagging off the campaign of its candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede and his running mate, Ikengboju Gboluga.

The ceremony which held at the MKO Abiola Democracy Park, Akure, had in attendance some PDP governors and the party’s bigwigs as well as hundreds of supporters from all the eighteen local government areas of the state.

In an interview with Positive Fm, the National publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan said the massive crowd of the people of Ondo state who attended the campaign Flag-off, showed that they wanted power to return to the PDP in the state come October 10.

Also speaking, the immediate past state Chairman of PDP, Mr Clement Faboyede and a former Commissioner for Environment, Chief Sola Ebiseni lamented that education and health sectors in ondo state had collapsed, hence the agitation for the election of Mr Eyitayo Jegede.

Also Speaking, Senator Biodun Olujimi from Ekiti south, insisted that the crisis rocking the southwest chapter of the PDP would not stop Eyitayo Jegede from emerging victorious.

The National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and other members of the National Working Committee as well as Governor Seyi Makinde who is the Chairman of the National Campaign Council of the Ondo 2020 PDP Campaign, were at the rally.
