The Ondo state commissioner of Police, Mr Bolaji Salami has read riot act to all Political Parties in the state ahead of the October 10 state Governorship Election.

This followed Wednesday’s bloody clash between supporters of the APC and the PDP in Oba Akoko in Akoko south west Local Government Area of the state.

At a meeting with Leaders and Representatives of Political parties at the command’s Headquarters in Akure, Mr Salami urged them to shun violence during their campaigns.

The Police commissioner said full investigation had commenced into the Akoko incident, adding that all anyone found guilty will be brought to book.

He warned that the use of prohibited fire arms was not allowed during Campaigns, and election proper.

Some Representatives of different political Parties present at the meeting also urged security Operatives to be more proactive in curtailing excesses of politicians in the course of the forthcoming Election.
