Some civil society organisations based in ondo state have appealed to government at all levels to give more priority to the welfare of orphanage homes in the interest of the vulnerable children in the society.
The IBl foundation in collaboration with kids and teens resource centre made appeal when they visited some orphanage homes in ondo state in commemoration of the Nigeria’s 60th independence Anniversary.
Leaders of the two NGO ,Mr Ibrahim baba – INNA and Martin Mary falana said the initiative was in line with the nation’s sustainable development goals against poverty, maintain zero hunger,good health and the well-being of all.
They said the outreach was extended to twenty orphanages in twenty states of the federation.
They appealed to well meaning Nigerians to assists the poor and the less privileged in the society .
The event tagged celebrating independence day with the orphans witnessed donations of foodstuffs and household items among others
