Ekiti State Government is to spend about one hundred and ten billion naira in the 2021 fiscal year.

This is contained in the 2021 appropriation bill presented to the Ekiti State House of Assembly by Governor Kayode Fayemi.

The budget proposal christened Budget of “Recovery and Economic” Restoration had an increment of twenty percent over that of 2020.

Statistics in the budget proposal shows a recurrent expenditure of over 57 billion naira and a Capital expenditure of over 51 billion naira

Addressing the House, Governor Fayemi explained that the budget proposal was a product of consultation and meetings with members of the public through town hall meetings

According to him the budget was critically prepared in consideration of the current economic realities occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic with the aim of rebuilding the economic drive of the state.
