Barely a month after a bloody motor accident occurred at Akungba Akoko on the deadly Okerigbo hill killing about eight persons, another bloody accident has occured at the same spot.

This accident was caused by the brake failure which caused a the trailer to ram into the ever busy ibaka market,  killing many traders and other residents.

Eye witness account says the accident occured around seven o clock in the evening.

Confirming the accident the acting unit commander  Ikare  FRSC  kabiru Mohammed and the divisional police officer, DPO  Akungba  Akoko, CSp Shakiru Ajibola told Positive fm that six dead bodies had been removed as at the time of filing this report.

They said the bodies were subsequently deposited at the mortuary of Ondo state specialist hospital while those who sustained injuries had also been taken to the hospital.


The officials said Some were however still trapped under the truck but promised that rescue operation would continue.

Two residents of Akungba  Akoko,  chief  Seriki  Awesu and  Mr Tijani Ganiyu wuile lamenting the increase spate of bloody accisent on the okerigbo hill called for the installation of speed breakers on the hill to save lives being lost always.
