Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has reassured on sustaining the three state owned universities despite the financial challenges confronting the state by his led administration.

Governor Akeredolu gave the assurance while speaking while playing host to the management staff of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA

Governor Akeredolu who observed that coping with the three state owned universities had been draining the state’s resources noted that government would continue to do its best to keep the institutions going in line with the desire of the people of the state.

Commenting on accreditation exercises coming up later in month at the three universities, Governor Akeredolu described the situation as ambivalent noting that the institutions would not be abandoned

Earlier, the AAUA Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige who attributed re-election of governor Akeredolu to sound leadership said the institution would remain committed to propagation of academic excellence.
