The Chief of Staff to Ondo State Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale has reacted to the rescue of his wife from the kidnappers’ den on Saturday.
Mrs Ale who was abducted on Thursday night by some suspected gunmen at Owena area, near Akure, was rescued alongside her friend who was on transit with her.
Reports say security agencies initiated a manhunt for the criminals, following detailed intelligence gathering spearheaded by the Amotekun Corps which indicated the location and track of the hoodlums.
Positive Fm gathered that after sessions of hot exchanges of gunfire, the combined operations of joint security agencies were able to overpower the hoodlums and retrieved unhurt, the kidnapped individuals.
Confirming the development, Mr Olugbenga Ale disclosed that his wife and her friend were rescued unhurt.
Chief Ale commended the professionalism of the security forces who rescued his wife and her friend, adding that they are currently in excellent condition.
