We received with heavy heart the demise of Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi, Chairman, Ondo State Mulsim Welfare Board, who died on Friday, 12th December, 2020, in the United States of America.

Alhaji Fawehinmi was a dedicated and vibrant personality who became a bridge between the government and the Muslim community in the state, a helping hand to break barriers in providing a voice and representation for the faithful.

Many persons knew Alhaji Fawehinmi for his great contributions to the Ondo state Mulsim Welfare Board, as well, for his strong devotion to the religion of Islam before his demise.

While we mourn his loss, we hope that Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi’s legacy will serve as an inspiration and beacon of hope to his fellow colleagues and his community.

His image and touches will not be forgotten for many years in the arena of religion, particularly, as it concerns the technicality of pilgrimage.

The APC Chairman in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who was in a sad mood, said that Alhaji Khaleel was committed, compassionate, empathetic, very brilliant, witty and understanding. “He allowed us, all, to understand the relevant stuff in religion a little better”.

“Alhaji Khaleel Fawehinmi was a good man, widely admired in the party. Our utmost sympathies go to his family and friends as he will be much missed”

This is such a big loss to the Muslim community, Ondo Kingdom and the state at large. May his legacy of important humanitarian work continue to inspire others.

May he rest in peace and may God give his family the strength to bear the loss at this difficult time.

‘Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un’. Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him do we return.
