A suspected thief has been crushed to death by a vehicle while another one sustained varying degrees of injury.
Report has it that the two suspects had dispossessed a man of his belongings in his car and fled on a motorcycle enroute secretariat/Dandaru axis.
The victim was said to have chased the suspects with his car and subsequently hit them, leaving one of the suspects dead instantly.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria, one of the suspects who identified himself as Laide Mudashiru said his dead colleague snatched a mobile phone from their victim,claiming that he made an effort to return the stolen item to the owner before they were crushed.
“I did not steal any money, it was the other guy that collected the phone and I returned it to the owner. I am cobbler by profession, I was the one who rode the bike. I only carried him. I live with my parent around Koloko area in Idi Obi, Ibadan. Mudashiru said.
The suspect who was lying in the pool of his blood had evidently been battered by the mob.
Report also indicates that men of Operation burst who had earlier visited the scene did not apprehend the suspect or evacuate the remains of the dead.
