Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has signed the Ondo State 2021 Appropriation Bill into law
Endorsing the appropriation bill in his office in Akure, Governor Akeredolu expressed optimism that the new budget, tagged, “budget of hope” would move the state forward.
The governor maintained that twenty-one percent of the budget would go for ongoing projects while nineteen percent would be spent on education especially the technical and technological aspects for economic reactivation.
He lamented that covid-19 pandemic had greatly dragged the state’s revenue backwards and urged residents to abide by all protocols put in place to contain the dreaded virus
Earlier, speaker of the house, Mr Bamidele Oleyeloogun said the appropriation bill received on the twenty seventh of last month had undergone thorough screening by members of the house of Assembly
Mr Oleyeloogun hinted that the budget had however been increased from one hundred and seventy billion to one hundred and seventy four billion, eight hundred and seventy-three million, three hundred and five thousand, five hundred and twenty five naira, thirty kobo.
