Nigeria shall regain its lost glory if the citizens can repent from their iniquities

The Anglican Bishop of Akure Diocese, Right Reverend Simeon Borokini stated this at the 2020 Service of Nine lessons and Carol organized by Ondo State Government.

In a sermon entitled, “let the light shine again,” Bishop Borokini linked various challenges confronting the nation to sinful habits of the citizenry saying such often invited darkness to draw the country backwards.

The Cleric who decried the spate of insecurity, poverty and economic retrogression in the land charged the citizens to refrain from all appearances of evil to allow the light of God to shine thereby repositioning the country

On the birth of Jesus Christ, Bishop Borokini urged leaders to lead aright as exemplified by Christ, the saviour

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who earlier led the government house choir on melodious Christmas songs described the birth of christ as divine and unique across the globe.

Governor Akeredolu enjoined Christians to appreciate God for the opportunity and embrace peace, during and after the yuletide.
