On January 8, 1947, a child was born in Akure, little did the Oluwaterus know that a political juggernaut had been given unto them.

There was wild jubilation in the then small city that surely an icon had arrived.

Few decades thereafter, the vision manifested, the humble Omolade became the General Manager of Housing Corporation.

Later, he was elected the Executive Chairman of Akure South Local Government.

His dint of honesty, loyalty and hardwork was rewarded with his Election as the Deputy Governor of Ondo State.

While in office, Omolade displayed high level of loyalty, to his boss, Late former governor Olusegun Mimiko.

For Omolade Oluwateru, humility, calmness and diligence are inborn and he spares no time in showing all these to all that come in contact with him.

Many party and non party members benefited immensely from him when he held sway as the number two man in Ondo state as he threw the doors of his office open to all.

Due to his loyalty to his party and his track records in the Political arena on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Oluwateru was appointed the Nigerian Ambassador to Uganda where he also lifted the banner of his fatherland so high.

He returned home without blemish and has since participated actively in the Peoples Democratic party’s Activities.

This has earned him the appointment as a member, Board of Trustees of the Party and a leader of leaders within and outside the PDP.

At 74, Otunba Omolade Oluwateru is a caring father, a Grandfather, An Achiever, A goal getter, A purposeful Leader, A politician of repute, A true Ambassador of Nigeria and a Worthy Son Of Akure Kingdom.

Therefore He deserves 74 hearty cheers on this occasion of his 74th birthday.
