Nigeria and Benin Republic are to jointly construct a cross border bridge along River Wara in Ngaski local government area of Kebbi State.

Speaking on a meeting in Kebbi State, Director General, National Boundary Commission, Surveyor Adamu Adaji, said the team were in the state in continuation of talks between Nigeria and Benin Republic on the planned construction of a cross boarder bridge by the two countries at Wara in kebbi state.

Surveyor Adaji, said the meeting was aimed at strategizing on how to successfully executed the project that would be of a benefit to the two countries.

He said, the two countries wants to make live easy for the boarder communities of the two nations.

The Director General revealed that, engineers at the site are now working to ensure that a common agreement has reached on the project.

Also speaking, Director, Trans Boarder Corporation Benin Republic, Yusuf Adamu, said the project would make a stronger tide between Nigeria and Benin Republic.

He commended the two countries Presidents for their initiative to construct a criss boarder bridge that would benefit the boarder communities of the two nations.

The Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, represented by the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Suleman Mohammad Argungu, said Nigeria and Benin Republic are one which share a common boundary as well as culture.

He hoped that, the project when executed would foster great unity between the two countries.
