Indigents students from senior secondary schools from ondo East ,west and Akure north today benefited from the education support initiative of the Nigeria association of women journalists ondo state council .

Performing the ceremony in Akure the national president of nawoj ,Mrs Ladi bala said that the initiative was in tanthem with the goal 4 of the sustainable development goals of the sdgs .

She commended ondo nawoj led by doris olumoko for their ingenuity at making education accessible for the poor .

Also speaking ,the general manager of Adaba FM ,sir martins Ayoola who is one of the sponsor appealed to nawoj to make it a regular gesture.

He assured them of his unalloyed support to the gesture

In her welcome address, the state chairman, NAWOJ, Mrs Doris olumoko said the gesture was to boost the education of indigent students in ondo state .

She said the gesture was to complement Government efforts in the education sector and to see that no child is denied good education to make them less attracted to societal vices.

Mrs olumoko called on people to partner with the association to ensure the programme is sustained calling on beneficiaries to take the opportunity seriously and make good use of the fund

In his word, the Chairman, Ondo Nuj, Mr Adetona Aderoboye commended the initiative and promised to always partner nawoj to achieve the set goals .

In their goodwill messages Ncws chairman ,Mrs jumoke Aborode and represented of women led NGOs Mrs Adebayo Margaret lauded the associations gesture in boosting the education sector .

Some of the beneficiary from CAC grammar school Adebayo janet ibukun Ayomide ,joshua Edesa appreciate the kind gesture and promised to make judicious use of the opportunity to face their studies well.
