One of the houses belonging to popular Yoruba Activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho in Ibadan has been reportedly set on fire by some yet to be identified hoodlums.
Positive Fm gathered that the hoodlums arrived at the house around Sanyo area, Ibadan in a Hummer Bus and Micra around 3am on Tuesday, shooting sporadically before setting the house ablaze.
The mini sitting room was burnt in the process while some valuables were destroyed.
The building was however prevented from being burnt down completely by the efforts of oyo state fire service.
Two brothers of Sunday Igboho that slept in the house explained that the hoodlums also had ammunitions with them when they struck.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Olugbenga Fadeyi who confirmed the incident said investigation had begun into the matter.
Meanwhile, Politicians and some other Big shots in oyo state have been trooping to Chief Sunday Adeyemo’s new house which is very close the scene of the incident to sympathize with him
The burnt house is where Chief Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho was living before moving into his present Residence.
Sunday Igboho has been at loggerhead with Fulanis in Ibarapa land over alleged kidnapping, killing and other crimes insisting that they must leave the community.
