It was a solemn gathering of friends, associates, family members, children, admirers among others at the commendation service organised by the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA to bid the departed soul of Dr Amos Arijesuyo goodbye after falling to the murderous gunshot of herdsmen on January 6th, 2021 along Ilesa express road.
Delivering a sermon at the event, A clergyman, Pastor Wale Olukunle said was one of the inevitability of life which all nature must partake but sometimes when it strikes, the generality of nature shivers living man with no option than to mourn the departure of a loving one just like the entire FUTA community grieved the loss of its deputy registrar, Dr Amos Arijesuyo.
Pastor Olukunle noted that the end was what matters most in the life of every man, noting that the demise of Pastor Arijesuyo was a martial death looking at the circumstance of insecurity that pervaded the nation and also a great translation to eternal glory with the Lord.
He charged the federal government to stem the tide of insecurity across the nation so as for people to live in peace.
Earlier, FUTA Vice Chancellor, Professor Joseph Fuwape who highlighted the sterling qualities of Dr Arijesuyo charged the gathering to be guided by Boys Scout motto, which is : Be Prepared.
Professor Fuwape enjoined the people to live positive and productive lifestyles.
Dignitaries from different walks of life including Rector, Ileoluji federal Polytechnic, Professor Emmanuel Fasakin, Futa former Registrar, Dr Modupe Ajayi among others, graced the occasion.
