The Benue State Council of the Nigeria Union Of Journalist has lost its Chairman, Comrade Victoria Asher.
Asher died Saturday morning from complications which arose after a cesarean section she had to have a set of twins.
The secretary of the council, Moses Akarhan announced this in a statement.
The statement said Asher died 8am on Saturday at the Federal Medical Centre in Makurdi where she was delivered of the twins– a male and a female.
The deceased who worked with the state-owned radio station became the NUJ Chairman, Benue Council in December 2018 following the death of David Ukuma who held the post for two months before he died.
