Students of the University of Abuja have blocked the expressway from the Nnamdi Azikiwe international Airport leading to Giri junction over protest of increased tuition fees by management of the institution
Other demands by the students include postponement of first semester examinations date till 8th of march 2021, reopening and extension of school fee portal till end of the current session.
The President of the Students Union Government SUG Comrade Oladeja Habib Lawale said several meetings held with the management of the University did not yield any positive response hence the protest.
Reports says the students insisted that the Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Abdulràsheed Na-Allah should comeout to address them before they could leave the express way.
Meanwhile there was serious gridlock on the road as a result of the protest.
