Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has raised alarm over the increasing number of illegal immigrants into the country through the land borders
He made this known while receiving the Assistant Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Zone F, Dora Amahian in his office in Akure
Zone F is in charge of Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti States
Governor Akeredolu observed that Nigeria would continue to be at loss going by the series of criminalities being perpetrated by the illegal immigrants in the country
Governor Akeredolu who recommended urgent collaboration among the security agencies pledged the state’s continual supports to tackle the menace of illegal foreigners turning themselves to permanent residents in the country
Describing security as the responsibility of all, Assistant Comptroller General Dora Amahian said the service had a border corps on ground to arrest the illegal immigrants aside the ongoing e-registration of the foreigners.
