The ongoing renovation of the Hallowed Chamber of the Ondo State House of Assembly will be completed by April this year.
This came to the fore when the Commissioner for Works Mr Saka Yusuf and his counterpart in the Lands and Housing Ministry, Rt Honourable Fatai Olotu embarked on an inspection of the project on Friday.
The duo including the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun and other Lawmakers were conducted round the project by the project officer, Engineer Segun Oluwatuyi.
The Commissioner for Works, Mr Saka Yusuf conveyed the Goodwill message of the Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu to the lawmakers pledging that the project would be delivered in record time.
He gave an assurance that standard would not be compromised in the execution of the project.
The Commissioner expressed concern of Governor Akeredolu towards timely delivery of the project as scheduled adding that human and material resources would be deployed towards the realisation of the target.
The Chairman House Committee on Information Youth and Sports Development Honourable Olugbenga Omole expressed members’ satisfaction at the level of job done and thanked the Governor for his commitment towards completing the job early.
Omole observed that the renovation work was a legacy project of the governor pledging that it would be monitored closely by the House to ensure standard and timely delivery.
Also speaking, the project officer, Engineer Segun Oluwatuyi pledged not to compromise standard in the execution of the project .
He pledged to do everything possible to complete the project on schedule.
Renovation of the entire complex will be done in three phases.The first phase which is the renovation of the Hallowed Chamber is expected to be delivered in April this year.
