In line with the decision of the ondo state government to rid streets and forests off unregistered herdsmen, officials of the Amotekun corps have arrested some herdsmen with their cows along Orita-obele area of Akure, the state capital.
POSITIVE FM gathered that cows numbering about 100 and a herder in handcuff were arrested for violating non grazing on the roads.
It could not be ascertained where the arrest of the cows and the herders were made as none of the state Amotekun officers was willing to speak with the press, but information from some sources at Orita obele, Akure, said both the cows and the herders were picked up along Ijare road.
It could not be immediately known where the taskforce personnel led the cows and the arrested herders to but they were led through Akure metropolis to Alagbaka office of the security outfit.
