Federal Government says it will never surrendered it’s sovereignty to bandits.
The Minister of Information and Culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed announced this when he led Federal Government delegation for a first hand Information on security situation in Niger state held at Government House Minna.
Alhaji Mohammed maintained that no responsible government will relinquish it’s sovereignty to bandits and assured that both the Federal and Niger state Government as well as the security agencies are working hand in hand to ensure safe release of victims.
He however re-assured Nigerians of President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to bring to an end to all criminal activities and criminality for a peaceful coexistence of Nigeria.
In a remark, the National Security Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari Major General Babagana Monguno retired maintained that all is not lost as the President is ready to apply all political and military solutions in resolving current security challenges.
Also speaking, the Inspector General of Police Mohammed Adamu said they have deployed four additional units of mobile policemen to Niger state to guarantee maximum security.
Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello who thanked members of Federal Government delegation for such visit however said Niger state government is ready to rehabilitate bandits that want to repent but will never pay ransom to any bandit group.
Other members of the Federal Government delegation are Minister of Police Affairs Maigari Dingyadi and Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola.
