Seven people have been confirmed dead after a military aircraft crashlanded in Abuja.

The Nigerian Air Force NAF201 B350 aircraft reportedly departed Abuja at 10:33am enroute Minna, with six persons on board including two crew.

The Aircraft reported engine failure at 10:39, six minutes after take off and crashed landed on the final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 at time 10:48am.

Report says the aircraft went into flames claiming all the seven persons on board.

Fire services are said to be at the scene of the accident.

Minuster of Aviation, Hadi Sirika who confirmed the incident on his official twitter handle urging Airport workers to remain calm pending the outcome of military investigation into the crash.
