Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu says the journey to redemption has started for Ondo state with his Inauguration for a second term of another four years.
The governor stated this in his inaugural speech after taking oath of office as the sixth executive governor of Ondo state.
Mr Akeredolu was sworn in alongside his deputy, Mr Lucky Ayedatiwa.

The governor said even though Ondo state had witnessed tremendous progress in the last four years, his administration would not relent in making the state better.
He promised that insecurity would be tackled headlong, noting that Amotekun corps had in no small measure reduced crime rate in the state.

Governor Akeredolu also hinted that Agriculture would be revolutionised to enhance food security and create job opportunities.
While appreciating the outgone exco members for contributing meaningfully to the achievements recorded in the first term.
Governor Akeredolu appreciated the people of Ondo state for their support promising to work with renewed vigour and more enthusiasm in the second term.
The swearing in ceremony was witnessed by the families of the governor and his deputy, including the governor’s mother Mrs Grace Akeredolu, National leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu, Elderstatesman, Chief Bishop Akande, Other Plotical Leaders, Traditional leaders, captains of industry among others.
Meanwhile traders made brisk business at the venue of the inauguration as buying and selling were on within the premises of the the dome through the period of the event.
Security operatives were also on ground at the premises of swearing in ceremony.
