The Chairman Nigeria Governors Forum and Ekiti state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi says for Nigeria to defeat terrorism there is the need for collective efforts by all and sundry.

He stated this in Minna when he led a delegation of members of the forum to commisserate with Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello over the abduction of students of Government Science College Kagara and that of passengers of Niger State Transport Authority by bandits.

Dr Kayode Fayemi who maintained that terrorism can only be defeated collectively also cautioned leaders ànd citizens from engaging in blame game but take action.

He said the entire thirty
six states Governors had resolved to work as a team to deal with crisis bedeviling the country.

Dr Kayode Fayemi said if dialogue remained the option in resolving current security challenge they would be left with no option than to embrace it apart from kinetic and non kinetic approach.

Responding, Niger state Governor, Alh Abubakar Sani Bello who described the visit as a morale booster also advised governments at all level to take action immediately to halt further kidnapping in schools.

Alh Abubakar Sani Bello gave an assurance that the abducted students of Government Science College Kagara would soon be released.

Those in the entourage include Governors of Sokoto and forums Vice Chairman, Aminu Tambuwal Plateau, Simon Lalong, Nasarawa, Abdullahi Sule and Kwara state, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak.
