The chairperson of the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists,  Nawoj, Ondo state Chapter, Mrs Doris Olumoko has been honoured with an award of humanitarian services.

This is in recognition of her numerous contributions to Societal Development through humanitarian services.

 

The award tittled AMBASSADOR OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN EMPOWERMENT  was conferred on her by IYÙN International Organization, also known as Egbe ÀGBÁRÍJO ÌGBÌMÒ IYÙN L’ÁGBÀÁYÉ at an event in Akure, Ondo State.

President-General of IYÙN International Organization,  Solomon Runsewe said, the organisation had closely monitored the activities of Mrs Doris Olumoko since she took over the mantle of leadership as Chairperson of NAWOJ in Ondo state and realized that she is kind hearted with passionate zeal for Women and Children development.

“These humanitarian gestures are evident in some of the projects of ONDO NAWOJ which includes its Educational support Programme where indigent pupils and students are given scholarship, Empowerment of Widows, Advocacy for Women and girls among other developmental projects.

 

Runsewe commended her for the exemplary leadership explaining that with all hands on deck, the Yoruba Land will be fast developed with its culture upheld.
