Nigeria has taken delivery of the first batch of Astrazeneca Covid-19 vaccines.

The 3.9million doses of the vaccines arrived the country through the Nnmadi Azikiwe International Airport on Tuesday as earlier announced by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.

Ministers, top government functionaries and other stakeholders were on ground at the airport to receive the vaccines into the country.

They urged Nigerians to embrace the vaccines in the bid to eradicate Covid-19

Nigeria becomes the second African Country to take delivery of of the Astrazeneca vaccine after Ghana got its package.
